Utilities, Inc. Embarks on Wastewater Service Expansion Project

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – April 23, 2007-- Utilities, Inc. (UI), a national water and wastewater service corporation, and its subsidiary Alafaya Utilities, Inc, are pleased to announce the expansion of it’s Alafaya wastewater treatment facility in Oviedo, FL. This $1.95 million expansion project, to be completed this year, will increase the facility’s ability to provide reclaimed water to the community for residential landscape irrigation purposes. The construction of a 1.5 million gallon storage tank and associated pumping equipment will substantially enhance the ability of the utility to serve its customers. “Utilities, Inc. and Alafaya Utilities, Inc. are proud to further efforts to conserve natural resources in this fast growing region of Central Florida” said Lisa Crossett, Chief Operating Officer.
